About Me
I'm Mir Nima Ghasemian, currently working as AI R&D engineer. I enjoy digging into interesting problems and figuring out how to solve them with technology.
I approach engineering as craft rather than production. Understanding precedes building. I work from first principles, preferring to know the machinery beneath the abstraction — peeling back layers to see the system as a whole, questioning assumptions, thinking clearly about root causes. The focus is on work that is clear, intentional, and built with integrity.
The problems that hold my attention longest are the ones where the map runs out — where established methods fall short and the next step isn't obvious. That's where real thinking begins. Working there requires more than technical skill; it requires judgment. About what to build, how to build it, and whether to build it at all.
Outside of engineering, I listen to music, read, play guitar, and write. These aren't separate from the work — they're the same practice in a different form. Attention to detail, sensitivity to context, the discipline of returning to something until it's right. A reminder that craft is craft, regardless of the medium.
This site collects work and accompanying thoughts — experiments, research, reflections. A record of learning, building, and understanding.
